History
It was erected in 1267, altered in 1584 and restored in 1877.The building reflects the typical plan of the mediaeval settlements built by the Humiliati and consists of a large farmyard, surrounded by farm-buildings (including a mill, now considerably altered) and houses for the monks and the farm-workers. The brick church has an imposing square-shaped bell tower, articulated by cornices and suspended arches. The single aisle interior with the sixteenth century lacunar ceiling concludes in a rectangular apse taken from Cistercian models. In summer, the farmyard becomes the setting for popular shows and concerts. In the direction of the River Lambro, the hamlet overlooks a park of meadows and woods with tracks which can be covered on foot or by bike.
